Jan is M&A and Corporate Finance specialist with 15 years experience. He has participated in cross-border projects in the Czech republic, Germany, France, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, UK, US, the Netherlands and Indonesia. His educational background includes a degree in Business Administration & Economics at the University of Economics, Prague as well as study program at the Rijks Universitejt Groningen, The Netherlands.
He started his career at Ernst & Young Prague, where he became senior M&A, Corporate Finance and Business Recovery advisor. His career was further developed during his stay in the Netherlands where Jan performed several business valuations and co-founded Reorganization Services (Business Recovery) at Deloitte & Touche, Amsterdam.
Jan acted as lead advisor in significant mergers in the Czech Republic. Several times was advisor on the seller's as well as the buyer's side. He gained experience in deal structuring combined with financial modeling, valuation skills and of post-merger integration.
Jan has good communication and negotiations skills acquired in various deals on international level. He gained valuable experience in dealings with representatives of large multinational companies as well as executives of small business, governmental bodies, local municipalities across many industries.
On the top of M&A and advisory Jan was also financial director of two industrial companies.
At present Jan leads as a Corporate Finance Director the M&A activities of NEWTON Management, Prague which is the Pandion Partners office in the Czech Republic. He is fluent in English and Czech with a good knowledge of German, Dutch and Russian.
