Oliver Kuan

Oliver Kuan is an investment banker with 13 years experience of which more than 10 years in Asia. Currently, Oliver is Managing Partner of Sustainomics, an international advisory firm which offers Strategic and Corporate Finance Advisory services to clients which are typically mid to large sized clients in industries such as energy, transportation, consumer goods, automotive, technology, pharmaceuticals and electronics. Oliver founded and runs Sustainomics' Shanghai office.

Previously, he worked at Deutsche Bank for over eight years in Hong Kong and London. There, he was responsible for the origination and execution of corporate finance transactions, working on equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance transactions in Europe and Asia.

Oliver has extensive knowledge of and senior level contacts within the energy, utilities, transportation, infrastructure and financial industry sectors in Asia and particular Greater China.

Oliver is currently building up Sustainomics' sustainable technology focussed investment and advisory business covering renewable energy, energy efficiency, solar photovoltaic, wind energy, biomass, bio fuels, clean coal, water, and recycling. The objective of the business is to identify sound and well managed Chinese clean technology businesses and provide them with value added support through the facilitation of cross border strategic partnerships (M&A, sales channels, sourcing, technology partners) and the provision of capital from private and public sources.

Oliver holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. He speaks English, German and Chinese and is based in Shanghai.
