Simon Lloydbottom is a Partner at Alinea, specialising in corporate finance, with a focus on M&A in the technology sector. A Chartered Accountant with close to two decades of experience, he has advised shareholders on company sales, business valuations, fundraising, financial planning and has executed multiple deals across the technology sector, spanning both strategic trade sales and private equity transactions.

Prior to co-founding Alinea in 2019, Simon was a Director at Clairfield International from 2011 to 2018. He began his career at Lloyds Bank in acquisition finance and corporate banking, before moving into business assurance at BDO LLP, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. It was this foundation across leading advisory firms, global accountancy practice, and corporate banking that he brought together with Oliver to establish Alinea and deliver bespoke, senior-level advisory services throughout each transaction.

Simon maintains a close watch on market dynamics, tracking industry consolidation and buyer appetite across technology sectors – to help match sellers with the right buyer. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), regulated by the ICAEW.
